The common side effects that you maybe subject to experience on using Vermact 12Mg Tablet are vomiting, nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, abdominal pain, tiredness, constipation, drowsiness, lightheadedness, headache chest pain, shakiness. If you are receiving treatment for onchocerciasis (river blindness) then you may have certain reactions for the first four days such as swollen eyes and swollen lymph, eye redness or itchiness, fever. Interaction with Alcohol

Pretreatment assessment for Loa loa infection - Patients with significant exposure to endemic areas and being treated with Vermact 12 MG Tablet for onchocerciasis may have an increase in the risk of fatal encephalopathy. The symptoms include neck pain, red eye, urinary and fecal incontinence, mental status changes, seizures, or coma. Therefore, pretreatment assessment for loiasis is necessary.
Pediatric use - This medicine is not recommended for children with body weight less than 15 kg.
Precaution of Vermact 12mg tablet
Ivermectin lotion should not be used for children under 6 months of age.
Ivermectin should be taken empty stomach with water.
Ivermectin tablets should not be given to children under 5 years of age and weight under 15 kg.
Do not take/apply ivermectin and consult your doctor if you are sensitive to ivermectin or any other ingredient to tablet/cream/lotion; or if you have concurrent loa loa infection; suffering from brain problems, bleeding disorder, or asthma.
Avoid using ivermectin if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Vermact 12mg Dosage
